Justin & Kath are a beautiful Perth couple with a little boy, Charlie. Like so many they wanted to share a wonderful wedding day with family and friends but without the huge price tag that often goes along with Weddings. Their solution was a simple wedding by the beach at Mandurah's old Yacht Club.
They purchased two large marquees at a bargain price to provide shelter from the February sun but also gave me the lightening effect of a giant soft box. It made my job incredibly easy for the Wedding Ceremony which are usually tricky because as a photographer I have no control over the proceedings.
The Wedding Ceremony was a simple service overlooking the Mandurah Beach and Kath & Justin wrote their own wedding vows where they expressed the personal commitment and love they shared.
After the Ceremony we used the Marquee for family photos so no one had the dreaded squint.
While the guests enjoyed refreshments we took the opportunity to head off the Old Sutton Farm in Mandurah for a few more pictures with the Bridal Party. Old Sutton Farm is a gorgeous old homestead on the Heritage List. Bridal Parties often use this location for Wedding Portrait Photos. It provides relief from the weather be it hot, windy or raining with the large verandah's on all four sides.
After getting some beautiful portraits for their Wedding Album we headed back to the Mandurah Yacht Club where caterers where preparing to feed the large crowd of friends that were going to celebrate the evening with our newlyweds. Before leaving for the evening we agreed that the sun set was too good to waste and would make a perfect 'end of day photo'.
